Dolceta, an online educational tool from the European Commission

With Dolceta, the European Commission wants to inform EU citizens about their rights as consumers.

The European Commission has developed an online educational tool in cooperation with higher education institutions for citizens of 27 EU Member States to inform them of their rights as consumers. This initiative is aimed at all citizens but also at those who are professionally involved in consumer education. The site includes quizzes and other interactive materials as well as information.

There are six main topics:

  • Consumer rights
  • Financial services
  • Consumer Product safety
  • For teachers
  • Sustainable consumption
  • Services of general interest

Every topic is dealt with at three different levels, depending on the age and educational level of the individuals interested. Users can test their knowledge with a quiz.
