What are you entitled to in the event of a bus/coach crash?

Has your bus or coach been involved in an accident and have you been injured during a journey of more than 250 km? You are entitled to the following:

• compensation of maximum 220,000 euro per person and 1,200 euro per item of luggage (unless the member states have increased this amount);
• appropriate support including accommodation, meals, clothing, transport and first aid. Hotel costs can be limited to 80 euro per night and per passenger, and to a maximum of two nights.

In the event of a fatal outcome dependants of the deceased or, where applicable, other relatives can claim the compensation.
